Those barrels are actually ‘laminated steel’ which, personally, I like better than Damascus.

A Belgian made gun on a basic W. & C Scott action. Can we see the proofs on its barrel flats please? That will tell a better tale. |

The Continental was a name used by Great Western Gun Works [or similar] . Made in Belgium and retailed in the U.S. I have a fine example with gold accents. Early 1880s as I recall.
