Default hipmatized by a parker

i went rabbit hunting with a parker 20 ga yesterday ...wasnot long before i found a nice pine stump to set on while i listened to the beagles running a rabbit..while i sat watching for the rabbit i got to looking how great the little parker 20 looked i turned her this way and that way and noticed how well every screw was lined up perfectly...pretty soon i forgot about looking for the rabbit i was just enthralled with how good this gun looks...so beware fellow rabbit hunters your parker may become the rabbits best friend cause you cannot shoot at what you cannot see..i believe the little gal hipmatized me....charlie.....

There's nothing wrong with taking a little brake and admiring the scenery.

Charlie ,sounds like a Great day out ,I remember when I was a Boy ,my Dad had Beagles ,One in particular was quite special her name was Cleo ,my Dad loved that little Dog ,and would often carry her home at the end of the day , I am not sure maybe that is the only way she would give up on those Bunnies and go home ! There were no Parker's at our house growing up ,Savages , Springfields and an Old Model 37 12 Gauge was my Pride and Joy when I was finally old enough to carry a gun ,it was my Grand Pap's Gun and he had already passed away by the time I was 12 ! I can still hear Cleo Barking and Howling while she circled the Rabbits , Dad shot a Model 24 ,22 Mag.over 20 Gauge ,if the Rabbit was hopping and sitting he would shoot the Magnum 22 and if Cleo was fast on it he would shoot the 20 ! The Old 24 sits in my Gun safe waiting for another Beagle ,I suppose I should consider it ! Great Story Charlie brought back some good memories !

My brother in law and I used to have dogs...beagles and a walker....and hunt rabbits...we were very fortunate to be able to hunt them right my sister and brother in laws back door. boy we used to have some fun! Loved the sound of the dog turning back toward me and the anticipation of seeing a rabbit. At times when the rabbit population was down we even put the shotguns away and we used to hunt with 22 pistols. Tough shooting those little rascals with a pistol. I remember once watching my brother in law shoot with his Colt Woodsman Match Target....9 shots and no rabbit....fun hunting and easy on the rabbit population....missed quite a few myself!
