The patch on the barrel looks like a bulge that was hammered on,

The gun would be considered a grade 1. Given its minimal engraving and twist barrels.
Yes, that is a bulge that has been worked down some. It appears it was some sort of rear iron sight that was installed on the rib at one time. Maybe used for shooting buckshot or pumpkin balls at deer. May explain the bulge in the barrel. The condition of the barrel really does hurt the value of the gun.

Jason, It is a shooter, if you find a set of barrels for it, do not shoot the gun with those barrels! you should be able to find a set of barrels for that gun fairly easy To be honest with you it will be a hard sell like it is! Sort of like a parts gun, Gary
