There is really no way to know how many ten gauge Parkers were 3 1/2" chambered guns from the late era. In theory, we could read all of the IBM cards and stock book entries, but we would miss a lot of entries that are no longer with us.

Didn't Alex Kerr have an AHE in 10 magnum. I thought I saw it mentioned in one of his articles.

Where was this article by Alex Kerr? It sounds like something he would order. I know of three mag tens in our membership, two being rebarrels of earlier guns, one originally made at Remington or Parker Brothers as a mag ten. There must be more out there, because I don't get out much. One other steel barrel rebarrel has what are probably factory 3 1/2" chambers, but do not have the late Remington barrel lug marking. Guns like my recently acquired factory 3 1/2" chambered ten on a #6 frame will probably digest modern 3 1/2" shells, but were not intended for them. I would like to measure the wall thickness at various points along the tube on an original Remington marked mag ten and compare to some of the rebarrels that are not marked 3 1/2".

I definitely remember it was an A grade as you don't forget a magnum 10 in a high grade but it escapes me where I read it but it could be in a Guns & Ammo article. It would be an article from the late 80's or later. Is there an index for the Guns & Ammo magazines for that era? I'm also sure it was Alex Kerr.

I remember a steel barrel AHE-Grade 10-gauge being displayed at the winter Las Vegas show a decade or more ago when the PGCA had a presence there.
