I don't think there's any kind of stigma with owning repros. They are what they are - great guns. I have a 28 that's never been fired yet. In some respects they are better.

Repros are usually a great buy and are an excellent value. Besides that, they're good shooters too. I often take my Repro 28 out hunting instead of my VHE 28 or my DHE 28 for the simple fact that I cherish my originals but I only enjoy my Repros. No stigma at all that I can think of.

I'll probably get dinged for this statement. The only reason why I joined this forum is because I bought a 28ga repro. The original Parkers are nice guns, but a 28ga is too expensive for me.
After joining the forum I became a PGCA a member. The 28ga repros are nice guns built with modern manufacturing methods, steel and better stock dimensions. Other than a collectibility factor, I'm not sure why an original is superior. Ken |

Well Sam I'll tell you what I'm saving it for. I have never been on a dove hunt. It's something I have wanted to do for years but just haven't had it happen ... Yet. So if and when I ever get to go I'll use it then.

To me the only negative is the Way the stock ends with the skeleton butplate..
it looks different to me. I saw in 1985 a lot of Otis Odoms Parkers ..the repro stock just does not look like the ones he had...but a little to late to compare. His guns are with a lot of PGCA MEMBERS |
