Hmm that is interesting... the gun is a 12 GH. Damascus barrels 30". Its straight gripped but it has been restocked at some point....

Well I didn't buy it. Too frankengunnish for me. The numbers on the barrel were good but I was not certain the ones on the water table were original due to their lack of uniformity. Plus, the stock is only 11 inches long with a hideous 3"wood spacer and a 1/2 inch pad.
Just a lot of things that were squirely so I passed. The hunt continues. |

In all honesty, this one made it easy to walk away from. The spacer was bad enough and then how different it was from what the book said and then finally when I was looking at the serial numbers, on the water table the 1 was far more blocky then the rest of the numbers, and the 9 was cockeyed, and on the tang the engraving actually went into the beginning of the serial number, so I just wasn't comfortable with it.
