An incorrect restock for sure. That is one that would be worth saving and putting right again.

Generic Parker rough inletted stocks of plain black walnut were bought by the pallet from Fajen in Warsaw, Missouri, and now from a successor since Fajen's has closed. These stocks are sent to some well known gun smiths. They have V grade cheeks and sell for about $30 each, maybe $50 at most now. They are roughly checkered, usually without mullered borders and apparently are sufficient for those owners who are more concerned with having a gun to shoot or sell than with correctness. The going price for a finished stock of this type is $1000 to $1500, so often when you hear of inexpensive ( relatively ) re-stocks, this is what a person gets. Many are finished with lacquer from spray cans.
The AH stock above appears to be of nice European walnut but lacks the fleur de lis, grip cap and checkering pattern characteristic of an A . Never say never in Parkers, but this one would require a close look and number check. |

Nice for a VH or GH. Except for the checking which is not legit for any Parker.
