Default Parker rounded pistol grip....

A friend of mine just bought a 1902 Parker VH 16 gauge with a rounded pistol grip instead of a capped pistol grip. How long were the rounded grips offered and are they rare at all on a Parker, especially the lower grades?

Thank you,
Bill

Default

The hammerless type grip you mention is more of a half grip instead of the earlier hammer gun full ball grip type.

I would think that the common-ness of hammerless grips would go as follows. Capped, straight and half grip respectively.
