It is an extractor gun. If I have a serial number without being able to do a research letter how can I find out if it is what it supposed to be? Also, if it is marked skeet in and skeet out on the barrel flats does that denote a skeet gun?

George
Assuming the serial number is in the Serialization book, the stock configuration, grade and barrel length can be confirmed.

George if you get a copy of The Parker Serialization ID Book & your SN is in there it will tell you what it left the factory as. If you post the SN one of us will look it up for you.

Also the options it was originally made with are in the Serialization book too.
Things like barrel length, single trigger, grip type, beavertail forend, extra barrel sets, etc. are denoted by the number in the options column next to your serial number. Post the serial number here and someone will certainly be able to tell what options the gun was originally made with.... providing it wasn't made so late that there is only a Remington IBM card on the gun. Those tell us very little. |

V grade, 28 ga. , 28 inch, no options. Surely an upgrade.

Thank you so very much. Ya'll just saved me from making a very bad decision that was also very expensive. The PGCA has again proven that there are a few honorable men and women left in our country! I'm still looking for a 28 gauge with BTFE, single trigger, PG, DHBP in VHE,GHE, or DHE. I want horns too but I will die buttheaded.

Yup, this gun is way too early to be a skeet gun. All extra features of your gun were put there by the restorer.
