Default New Parker to me

I inherited my father-in-law's Parker side by side. The note with it says it is a 16 gauge on a 20 guage frame. It is in very good condition both the wood and the case hardening. The serial number is 152191 which I see puts it produced in 1909. Can someone tell me if the 16 on a 20 frame is rare or odd? For insurance purposes what would be the value? Thanks!

That would be a sixteen on the 0-frame which is not rare or odd but is often very desirable for upland hunters who like a fast-handling gun and who don't like a heavy gun for an all-day hunt.

without seeing the gun, a16 on an O frame is worth at least $2000 if in actual original condition as you describe, and that's if it is the lower grade VH. Pictures would really be beneficial and interesting. Sounds like a great gun--keep it and shoot it in good health (or sell it to me cheap!).

Thanks for the help. When I have more time to figure out the site, I'll try to post a picture.
