Cool Chantilly show

Anyone else going to the Chantilly, VA show this weekend? They say the snow is plowed from the parking lots and they're ready to go.

Dean, that's why they hope for good attendance. All those who pay admission will be issued a shovel and routed across the roof on the way to the front door. Only then will they be admitted to purchase their share of slim jims and camo gear. I will be there to buy "The Parker Shotgun".

Well Bill, get there early to get your share of the shoveling done so you can be first in line for THE Parker Shotgun. If you see more than one please give me a call. I won't need snowshoes to get out of Massachusetts but rumor has it that the farther South I travel the deeper the snow becomes. How's that "Global Warming" thingy workin' for ya'??

After 9 gallons of gas and two drive shear pins, 18 inches wouldn't make my monster snow blower burp! The 8 inches we got yesterday and last night on top of the 30 inches we got last weekend really put the strain on the drive train; had to blow most of it in 1st and 2nd gear. My 400-foot pipestem makes me a firm believer in the "less bling, more horsepower" club.

So far as Chantilly is concerned, plow it and they will come. Some of the great gun deals of legend have occurred by braving the drifts instead of hanging out at Starbuck's on a bitter cold snowy morning.

I'll be there on Saturday. Hopefully before lunchtime and through to closing.

Carl.

Carl, be sure to stop and visit "Tight Corner". By the way, two shows ago, I scored a really nice straight grip GHE Damascus 16, 28" with all the choke. For you that question the terminology, "all the choke" is full and full. I just heard Annette's commercial on the 5 o'clock news. She will be there to host the show.

Mr. Gore must be here in the Inland Empire. My new backup snow blower I bought last summer when they were cheap is still sitting on its shipping pallet and the old one was only started once this season.

Bill, You better hope that Annette doesn't bring her neo Nazi "Deputy Dog" gun strapper with her or you won't see as much as a picture of a Parker come in the door. He's the one who denied entry to a patron in Roanoke recently who was wearing a Leatherman !!!
