Dave Suponski, Larry Frey and myself will be at the PGCA Booth and hope to see you there. The weather promises to be very mild so it will be a nice day for a ride and spending a few hours at a premiere gun show with no "black weapons". Please come by and introduce yourself and bring along that Parker that you might have questions about.

Well Done!
I got a call from a friend this afternoon to tell me that he had gone to the show today and that the only thing worth seeing at the entire show was the Parker table, which he described as amazing.
I had a chance to stop by the show on Saturday and to join Dave, Larry and Dean for some dinner. I have to agree with my friend's comments, the Parker booth looked great. Some good natured fun was had between the Parker Booth and the adjoining Fox booth, which also put together a very nice display. Well done to all who worked to make the table possible. It was great. |

Just back from the Stamford Show and it seems the smaller venue worked well. Traffic was up from the last couple of years and guns were being bought. We helped out a couple of guys that bought Parkers including Steve Hodges who bought a smokin PHE fluid steel 16 gauge for a nice price. We sold some raffle tickets and handed out a bunch of membership materials. We had a very busy weekend as attendees have become aware that we will be there every year.Saturday we had Myself,Dean,Larry and Tom Wooden manning the booth and on Sunday we swapped Tom for Chuck Bishop who came all the way from Harrisburg to help out. More to this in the upcoming Parker Pages.
As Josh has mentioned in another thread...We are always looking for people who want to get involved and help to put a fresh face on the PGCA...so think about it. 1)Guns on display ranged from AAHE to Trojan grade 2)AAHE,AH,BH,CH grades 3)Steve Hodges,Dean and Tom Wooden 4) Chuck Bishop,Myself,Dean and Larry

I would like to thank all who were at the amzing Parker Booth for a great day of talking Parkers, Hunting and anything else that came up, as well as a special thanks to Dean and Dave for helping me find a great 16 Gauge 1928 Parker PHE with 26" Parker Steel Barrels choked LM/IM. It will be a great grouse/woodcock killer, if I can do my part!

First I would like to thank everybody who stopped by the PGCA booth to chat or just to take notice of The Parker Gun. It was a nice show and like Dave says, it has improved in attendance over last year.
While we appreciate the compliments of the PGCA booth being the best at the show I can only say that there were some other great displays at other booths and tables and while they may not represent the kind of guns we collect and appreciate those other guys had some wonderful stuff. This is not a show for "black weapons" and none were present, thankfully. Thanks also to Dave for putting our organization's presence in the East Coast Fine Arms Show for yet another year and thanks to all who manned the booth. We all agreed today as we were breaking down the display that the things we liked most about our presence at the show this year was being able to answer the many questions that visitors had about the Parker Gun and the PGCA but even more than that was our being able to help two really nice guys with the purchase of their 'new' Parkers from other vendor's tables in the show... That's what this organization is all about - sharing the knowledge!! |

I had a great time Sunday with Dave, Dean, and Larry at the Parker booth. I got to see some interesting guns and we were able to assist a young man buy his first trojan. He was really excited on his purchase. We also had a few people bring their Parkers to the booth for evaluation. You just never know what will come out of the case!
I also got to know Steve Cambria from the Fox Collectors Assn. He's such a nice guy that we let him set up right next to us but he took alot of abuse from Dave Picture #1, Dave eyeballing a Francotte. He's thinking of resigning from the PGCA Assn and starting the Francotte Collectors Assn Dean can't believe it. Picture #2, Steve Cambria of the Fox Assn. Nice guy! |

Just a real quick note here... we can evaluate the condition of a gun and usually can spot a potential problem but we don't appraise Parkers as to $$$ value.
