Default Ohio pheasant hunt

These birds were released Nov 1, and have become pretty wild---and yes I have hunted wild pheasants.
Moved 4 roosters and 1 hen. I killed 2 with 2 shots with my VHE 20, and buddy Terry killed one with his FAIR Rizzini 16 ga ou with double triggers. Fancy did a great job, and Ski the lab made a great retrieve on Terry's bird that flew out of sight.

Two nice looking pups Harold although I am prejudiced towards the black one.

Harold,
I hunt a small pheasant preserve with a couple of friends, the owner lets me go to an area that is usually off limits. The owner said within a few days to a couple of weeks, the birds are getting pretty wild. I shot a double on pheasants, there were several pheasants in that small field. I hunted wild pheasants as a kid, and it was very similar. I would much rather go to the off field than to the planted pheasant field. He is out of birds now, plus we have 10 inches of snow. Overall this has helped my brittany, many of those birds run, and it has taught my brittany cash patience. Please keep your pictures coming, I enjoy them a lot.

Harold, a good "tune-up" for a Kansas trip? The weather is warmish here in the middle-middle.
