Default Are the Grade 2 hammerless Dam 20ga counts correct in TPS?

Are the Grade 2 hammerless Dam 20ga counts correct in the PS? I remember an addendum being discussed a while back and I did not record the correct counts. Can anyone help me out? Thanks Craig

Craig, I had asked this a while back. Dave Noreen responded back then:

The Quality 2 Damascus barrel hammerless 20-gauge numbers in The Parker Story are all a misprint. You need the Errata Sheet Version 3, 6/6/01. The corrected numbers are 1 24-inch, 145 26-inch, 3 27-inch, 244 28-inch, 49 30-inch, 1 31-inch and 3 32-inch.

Errata Sheet Version 3, 6/6/01 gives us
"Page 279, Table at lower left -- "GRADE 2 HAMMERLESS GUNS WITH DAMASCUS STEEL BARRELS" -- The column with statistics for the 20 gauge is incorrect. A total of 446 hammerless doubles of 20-gauge were made with barrel lengths as follows: (length/count) - (32/3), (31/1), (30/49), (28/244), (26/145), (24/1). These changes will effect the totals in various summary tables."

The errata sheet makes sense. TPS brought us way ahead in Parker knowledge, but it is an ongoing process. I bet the authors themselves would be the first to acknowledge that. It is what makes Parker research so much fun too

Yup, our precious little Dam 2 20 gauges are as common as a Mercedes in Middleburg.

Thanks guys, I found I had recorded the figures but under 20ga TL hammer gun column. Grade 1,2 and 3 hammerless damascus 20ga guns made up about 1 1/2% of total production. Not rare but uncommon, an example of each would make a nice collection for the average collector. Thanks again for help.

I’m in the process of adding a beautiful set of 28” 20 gauge Damascus barrels to one of my 0-frame 16 ga. Damascus GH on the 0-frame guns. It’ll be a sweet combo.

Here's the frame.

Small bore hammerless Parkers with Damascus barrels are the ultimate, uncommon but available. Very nice Dean!!
