Default Trojan weight ?

I see a 12 g 28 inch Trojan advertised at 6 lbs 11 oz. Sounds light to me. My O frame 20 g 28 inch Trojan is 6-9, 1 frame 16 g 28 inch Trojan weighs 6-11

Were 12 g Trojans ever built on 1 frames ?

12 Gauge Trojans were always built on the 2 frame. The weight seems unusually light for such a gun and I would question it.

That is light for a 2 frame gun. Even with 28" barrels. And as dean states, the Trojan was built on a 2 frame in 12g. I have observed one 12g. Trojan on a 1 frame and it was one of the special order twist steel barreled guns. There may be others, but this is the only one I have seen.

So, the question to ask the seller is 'what is the frame size stamped on the bottom of the barrel lug?'. And what is the roll stamped legend on the top rib... what barrel steel?

Exactly, inquiry is for a PGCA member who is not on line. My GH 1 Frame 30 inch 12 weighs about 7lbs 6 oz. guessing that Trojan weighs a bit more.

Has he tried to insert a 12 gauge shell in the chamber?

Gun is advertised one of the internet broker sites, he has not inspected it in person.
