Default My Gordon pup....

Brought my pup home from North Carolina after getting some bird work in with her breeder/trainer for a few weeks.

Didn't take her long to reclaim her spot on the old love seat....

Alfred,

Great looking Gordon. I've hunted over one and sometimes two sinc 1986.

Good looking pup. How old is she?

Great looking Gordon! You will find others on the Forum who hunt over this fine breed. I see Ken H. has responded already. Kenny G. is also a frequent contributor and is "owned" by a Gordon.

My wife and I have lived with and hunted over Gordons for nearly 40 years. I would not have another breed (as much as I like bird dogs in general). The Duke of Gordon is an ancestor of mine, so I'd feel somewhat traitorous to have another breed.

Thanks for posting!

Our roost is run by 3 Gordon's. We always try and make at least 1 a rescue.

I don't know of too many (if any!) roosts not run by Gordons. They certainly have a way about them, don't they?.

One of our Gordons has been a rescue dog. She was a sweetie, and a good hunter, but since we got her after she was several years old, she had developed some interesting habits that no amount of training could change. She was staunch on point, but her tail would wag incessantly while she stood her birds. Now that she's gone, I must admit, I miss that wagging tail.

Nice looking Gordon ! I’ve never had a Gordon or an Irish setter just the English variety . But I always liked Gordon’s and Irish Setters !

I have 2 Gordon’s . I don’t need to post a picture because it would be a carbon copy of the one you posted. They are 3 and 12 and neither one wants me out of sight.
