Default Pearl's 6th B-day

My little girl Pearl AKA Miss Pearl, princess, crazy (what my wife refers to her as) turned 6 over the weekend. Where does the time go? Seems like yesterday that I was teaching her the basic commands sit, stay etc... She is eagerly awaiting bird season ans she does not discriminate on the type of bird. We will kick off bird season with dove and a short while later hear in Northern Nevada quail, chukar, and waterfowl will follow. Although she is a wonderful waterfowl dog, I believe her favorite bird to chase is quail. Her sleek build and high energy rival that of my hunting buddies pointers. Hell in this day and age she just might identify as a pointer

Get every moment you can with your pup. Dog time goes too fast. Happy birthday, Pearl!

What no Himalayan snowcock? Great looking young lady even though she’s not a Gordon or red setter. Wishing you and Pearl many more adventures together!

Ken, I'll leave the Himalayan snowcock to the young kids and the rock climbers. I've heard horror stories of guys chasing snowcock in the Ruby Mountains and having to rescue dogs and hunting buddies that got stuck on cliffs etc.

My pup Nellie just turned 6, no signs of slowing down. She shares my duck blind and bed. Love to see dogs living the life of a bird dog. I truly believe Labs would much rather hunt upland birds, they love to run to seek game.
