Default GH junk, but…….special order engraving

This gun is simply a disaster! BUT, look at the special GH engraving, all dogs. Too bad it is gone……RIP

It looks like a GH with a mismatched DH trigger plate.

Yep what Brian said below. I was thinking I had seen D’s like this with less scroll and dogs. Nothing special, then just a mess!

The gun is not a GH but a DH. An early one. What they call a “3 dog D”.

I especially liked the thumb rest in the forend on the pictured gun.

Hmmm… quite a few anomalies there.

GH buttstock with appropriate checkering and no drop points but it has the DH initial oval, not the shield a GH would have.

I wish the pictures were better… I’m going to bring it up on my PC...

Yup, I agree it's a DH. Even the forend has the correct checkering pattern for a DH but all the checkering seems to have been recut a loooong time ago.

Wouldn't the "triple dog dare" be a complete breach of playground etiquette? Asking for a friend.
