Yep what Brian said below. I was thinking I had seen D’s like this with less scroll and dogs. Nothing special, then just a mess!

Hmmm… quite a few anomalies there.
GH buttstock with appropriate checkering and no drop points but it has the DH initial oval, not the shield a GH would have. I wish the pictures were better… I’m going to bring it up on my PC... Yup, I agree it's a DH. Even the forend has the correct checkering pattern for a DH but all the checkering seems to have been recut a loooong time ago. .
