Default I got a new book today I didnt expect.

I was a bit confused at first I had a packaged delivered because I shouldn't have anything coming in this week. Well my little brother found this book and bought it for me, I currently have a list of 5 or 6 old books I plan to pick up as well. From what I have gathered its a good read so I think I will enjoy it.

Nice autographed copy of the seminal Parker book. You'll enjoy it.

It is the very first book written and published entirely about the Parker Gun and should be in every Parker collector's library.

I think its interesting under the autograph the second entry says "And with love from dad who helped Peter with the book" I wish I knew who it was.

I cant wait to sit down and read through it.

My introduction to the Parker Gun came via that book in 1973. Thank you Peter Johnson!

For the information he had at the time, this was THE Parker book. Some of the data he quotes has definitely been updated. Johnson, Baer, Muderlak and TPS are all books that should be in every Parker fan's library. Throw in the Serialization & Identification book too for good measure.

Reading Peter Johnson’s account is an unmitigated delight, given his infectious passion for the Parker gun. You read that at age five he began collecting gun lists; and as a youth had his fascination with the Parker gun ignited by Dr. Bryant Cook, a family friend, who brought his Parker gun into the Johnson home.
