Default Question on 16 gauge 30” ejector VHE

Can anyone tell me how many VHE 30” ejector 16 gauge guns were made on 1 frames? How desirable?

Frames and options aren't recorded in the tables at the end of the grades section of The Parker Story so there isn't any accurate answer to your question Phil.

Thank you Dean. I does look like here was only about 2200 16 gauges made with 30” barrels If I understand correctly most VH guns did not have ejectors. I believe it was about 17%. Difficult of course to know how many were on the 1 frame.
I was hoping I may have missed something and I could get an estimate.

Phil;

I have a VH 30" 16. Don't have the s/n handy but could dig it out if you need it.

Thank you Daryl. No need but thank you. While going through my Parker’s yesterday I remembered this gun has ejectors and it peaked my interest as to how common ejector 16’s were in the lower grades.

Phil, the grade - barrel length and options such as ejectors are listed in the serialization book. ( no frame size but just from the number seen, I expect the 1 frame was the most common for 16s )

too bad you didn't think of this during the lockdowns -it would have given you a project to keep you busy

I know. It would have been a great time to evaluate my gun needs. There are some I need to reduce the number of and still a few out there I would still like to own.
My gun collection is made up of guns that have caught my eye for one reason or another. Never really concentrating on one particular maker, although I own more Parker’s than anything else.
I love the excitement of finding an unusual or high condition gun and purchasing it.
Then doing some research. Unfortunately Some of these guns go in the dark corners of our safes and stay. Although I try to rotate and use all of my shotguns while shooting Eurasian dove.
What is the last gun you bought that was nothing you needed or was even looking for?
You bought it even though you may never use it.
Mine was several months ago when I bought a high condition flat band model 94 made in 1947 in the worn, yet original box serialized to the gun.
I bought it immediately after it was brought into a friends shop by the family that owned it. I probably paid top dollar but how many 1947 94’s still have the original box?
At least that’s what I told myself.

What is a “flat band” 94 Winchester?

Dean in 1946 until late 1948 the front barrel band just aft of the front sit GH the has flat sides rather then being rounded. There were a number of changes along with the temporary change to the flat band right after WWII.
It’s actually a 32 WIN SPL.
