Had this beauty hanging out by the lodge Friday. A Cecropia moth, the largest native North American moth otherwise known as the giant silk moth.

Cecropia Moth

In my teens I used to catch and collect moths and butterflies and spread their wings and dry them and display them in glass cases. I'm not being a smartass but just pointing out the differences.

They stuff everything with crab in Maryland!
Caught one for my insect collection in HS also. Only kid that had one!
