Harry, had a look at some you posted of your father's gun; love the wear patterns those old guns get. Mine hasn't been used enough to get that kind of patina but I, ah, aim to fix that! Will post pics when available again. -Seth

It amazes me the amount of use some of these Parkers received. Many have the checkering almost all worn off like my fathers Trojan. I have two rifles I purchased new almost 40 years ago and though I have practiced and hunted with them a lot they still look new. My father and one of his friends carried their shotguns in their laps on the train from Kentucky to Augusta Military Academy near Staunton, Virginia. That little six pound gun took just about anything with fur or feathers. Harry |

Welcome and what a good story you have, I am fairly new in here, and the members here are very helpful. I just purchased a parker v grade 16 gauge, it is such a nice gun. Hope you enjoy yours. |
