According to the seller: "My father was a serious collector of Parker guns. He got this pin from Larry Del Grego." It brought $189 and change

Is $189.00 a fair result of rarity or is it buyer's lack of knowledge of the market? Are these still available for $38.95?

The pin was available in sterling silver or gold. We don't know which it was.
Gold would have made it a better buy. |
