People who are serious about buying a gun call...sellers know this and act accordingly. "light pitting" and at least 3 1/2" of drop, at $900 this gun is not a big bargain...

Steve...Realizing that pictures don,t tell much of the story. But from what I can see of the pictures the gun doesn,t look to bad.Decent screws but some oil in the head of the stock I would think. Not too bad for$900.00 maybe less..

So buy it Steve, why talk about it? You're a player aren't you? $900 bucks, that's just dinner for 4...

Steve: I'm with Dave on this one. $900 for a GH Damascus sound O.K. & you might offer $700 & get it. Spend perhaps $500 more fixing it up and you'll have a nice gun.

Just My Humble Opinion.......George

The gun guys at cabelas are a sharp lot....If it was a 1500-3000.00 GH they would know it....They know value of parkers fairly well...then they add some to cover overhead. The only way to be sure of a deal or good shooter canidate is to go look at it. It could be a sleeper but not likely, Im sure it has issues! I don't think 500.00 will do mutch fixing at least on the cosmetic end. Re-stocking the butt end starts at 2K and I have not seen a restock that looks as good as the 80 year old factory work. I own a Delgreco restocked GHE the owner paid 4K several years ago for the complete restore, I have the work sheet. While its realy nice...they placed some choklate colored goo at the head to fill the imperfection! I paid 4k for the gun from Safari outfitters, it had not been shot after the Delgreco work. Its a keeper at that price. The very first round of five stand the butt stock became loose at the head I finished the round with it and stoped shooting it. I removed the trigger gaurd and ajusted the bolting screws and it been O.K. Someday I will have that goo removed and the Job corrected, it is very minor issue but it bugs me!. I also do not like his type of color case!,...its on there now and will have to do. Thanks All, Kenny Graft SXS ohio.....(-:

That all depends on the store. Some are as sharp as a bowling ball.
