Default New User from Texas

Hey y'all. Thanks for the addition to the group!

I received a few shotguns from my grandfather that he wants me to sell. I am hoping that someone here can give me more information about them and what they are worth.

I am much more of a knife collector, so I am a bit out of my realm here. I will attach a few pictures and can provide more pics if needed. One is a really rusted Parker Bros model that someone told my grandfather might be worth more rusted than cleaned up.. The other is a King Nitro that is in much better condition.

Any help/guidance is greatly appreciated!

The person who corresponded with your Grandfather was right. The Parker is worth more in its present condition than it would be if cleaned up. When you establish a value on that gun, let us know and you will probably find a buyer here.

But as a Forum Associate you are not alllowed to sell a gun here. You will need to buy an annual membership for $40 to do so.

King Nitro was a tradename used by Shapleigh Hardware, St. Louis on guns made by Crescent Fire Arms.

Good afternoon, y'all,

I received the letter from the PGCA and am hoping that with the additional information, someone here could help me narrow down a value on this one?

I see you didnt join the PGCA and may have paid a $100 for your letter which doesnt show anything special the gun is in rough condition I have bought alot better for 350 so if you stick anymore into the gun I think you would be on the losing end. Parting it out may be an option.

Talan I think your best bet with the Parker is to list it on gunbroker with a penny starting price. You might get lucky and get someone like me to bid with little to no self control and a “win no matter the cost” attitude. I doubt anyone here would want it for anything other than parts - if they aren’t too far eaten away. The poor thing wasn’t taken care of properly. I would make a cool wall hanger though.
