Default Another first try !

Had a couple packages of First Mine Run mallard breasts in the freezer I wanted to get used up . So I found a recipe for duck and sausage gumbo . The pots simmering now and we’ll give it a go tommorrow at the shop for lunch .

The sausage I used was approximately 1/3 Andouille and 2/3 smoked venison sausage .

The taste testing today with jasmine rice . The broth is slightly saltier than I’d like but not offensive . Otherwise I think it’s okay !

Carolina Reaper for the real hot sauce men here. We hot sauce lovers all started with Tabasco. Looks good Craig and I'm sure if you had any leftover it would have been better the next day and even better the day after that. With the right hot sauce of course.
