Default Model 12 recoil pad

I know we have a lot of knowledge on this forum so I am hoping to find out. What pad is appropriate for a Winchester model 12 made in 1957? Did Winchester offer solid as well as vented pads? Did they offer after market pads. What are your thoughts on the Galazan reproduction pad?
Thanks Phil

Phil, I use the "Tony" repro pads and like them just fine. The only difference from Tony and the original is the date comma versus period. The original is a period and the repro is a comma. Or is it the other way around?

On the originals the line is PAT. JUNE 6.1922 --

The repro is PAT. JUNE 6, 1922 --

I have looked for an original Winchester pad, but can only find used used ones so far.
What are your thoughts on using a reproduction pad?

I use them and like them. They age to look like the originals.
