Default Lovely Lifter on Gunrunner

Just making you aware of this one. All original as far as I know. I have owned it for about 12 years.

Interesting to see a dog, or any animals on a grade 2 of that vintage.

I did order a letter many years ago but it has gone the way of many moves. It did say something to the effect that the guy who ordered it, I think in the midwest, paid for extra engraving and better quality wood. the wood is clearly an upgrade and original as is the skeleton butt plate.

Interesting to see a Grade 2 lifter with a few appointments normally associated with the Grade 3 and higher guns. I’d like to see that letter - not because I have any doubts but simply to see how it was ordered.

I do not know how to answer that question since the letter did not say how. It just stated that it was ordered that way. Why he did not simply order the next grade is unknown however my guess is to save a few dollars. Whoever buys it can order another letter.

It would also be interesting to know the price that grade 2 originally sold at. I wonder if the original owner paid for those extras of if he was willing to sacrifice other embellishments normally associated with a grade 2 in order to have the SKBP, the upgraded wood and the dogs.
