Paul is a very astute Parker collector, a great friend and just a wonderful man. I was looking for a GHE 28ga with a 30" barrels so I called Paul. He had one, but it was not for sale. The next thing I knew the gun arrived at my door. I called Paul to be told he would not sell it but I could just shoot it for as long as I liked. I did so for about six months , loved the gun. and again tried to purchase it. It was not for sale so I returned it. That was over five years ago, Paul still owns the gun but I do have first right of purchase. There are not many guys out there like Paul Dorsa!

I really enjoyed that article ,I have read it twice , The A1 Special is a wonderful gun ! I noticed in the article ,Mr. Dorsa is a Life Member of the PGCA but I couldn't find his name in the Members List ! I would really enjoy speaking to him about my CHE 20 Ga. as since I have owned the gun ,I have been able to find out very little about it !! The thing about his gun that caught my eye most is the Barrel Wedge engraving , I have been looking with a magnifying glass and it is very like the barrel wedge engraving on my CHE ! If anyone here corresponds with Mr. Dorsa ,and could mention my C Grade to him and see if he would mind giving me a call dropping me an e-mail or taking a look at some photos and giving an opinion ,I would surely appreciate it !

Paul Dorsa is also the owner of the BHE 4/0-frame .410 Repro with DHE engraving we discussed here: http://parkerguns.org/forums/showthread.php?t=12472

I hope Paul gives me a call about the little Repro when he is ready to sell it. I still have a copy of the 1993 ad where that gun was offered.

That was a good article. Several good articles in this issue, as there always are in the DGJ

I noticed the A 1 in the Double Gun article had some good pic's of the engine turning we were discussing that had shown up on I think it was a VH. The wives and others can complain about a lot of our bad habits but being a part of the PGCA is one of the best things out there. I really enjoy the forum and through it I found Brian who helped me put a VHE back together that won't win any prizes for looks but fits me like a glove. Without Brian's excellent work and help, it was a nice boat anchor. Thanks to everyone for keeping it going and your discussions, I learn constantly from them and the forum.

Yes, nice article on a wonderful shotgun & collector.
I had a complete set of DGJs a few years ago, sold it, bought another set recently. It really is a phenomenal publication, amazing museum quality guns, has me wanting so many expensive things now, more Parkers, a CSMC Fox, a Verney Carron DR, a Pedro Arrizabalaga, etc. etc.
