Default New member in Richmond, VA

Hello all, I’m excited to be here. I have very humbly taken possession of 3 Parkers. I am truly blessed. I do not intend to sell them. I would like to know if I can shoot them. So if anybody knows any Parker experts near Richmond, VA, please introduce me. On to the good stuff:
Parker # 237452. Remington gun. 12 ga. 26” barrel. GH grade with ejectors. I can’t tell the game size, but it might be ½. Pictures coming if I can figure it out.
Parker #219441. 1926. 20ga. 26” barrel. DH with ejectors. Frame size 0.
Parker #28-2460. Winchester Japanese gun. 28 ga. 26” barrel. DH with ejectors. Frame size 00

I have several fine shooting guns and actively hunt birds in the SE and out west. Quail, grouse, Huns, Chukkar.

I’m a bit stunned by my good fortune and look forward to being a proud owner and steward for as many years as I have left.

Is there anything else I need to know about these guns? Anything special I should note? I love the 20ga and believe the small frame and D grade make it nice.
More pictures to follow once I get to my computer.
Darrell

Welcome!

You're a lucky guy... you can pick the numbers for my next lottery ticket!

The 12 gauge is a 1 1/2 frame.

I can't figure out what all the stampings are on the 12ga. I learned that the 1 2 marking is the 1 ½ frame size. I think the 3 11 it the barrel weight?

Welcome! Quite a grouping of guns — you’ll have fun. I lived just outside of Richmond, and I went to undergraduate school at VCU. I lived on Grace Street and Monument Ave. (1800 block). I’m pretty sure I would not recognize Monument Ave. with its statues gone.

Enjoy your Parker’s!

Beautiful...absolutely beautiful. Any chance you plan on attending the NE SxS Classic in Friendsville Pa? You'll have a great time and alot of us would thrilled to see those guns in person.
Regards,
Austin

I don’t know anything about it, but I would certainly consider it. I’m hoping I can get an opinion on whether these are all able to be hunted. The 12 feels a little the loose when closing, but I can’t see any gap. The 20 and 28 seem tight and ready to go. I’ll look it up online. Thanks.
