Quail hunting is a favorite and my trips to Morrison Pines are eagerly anticipated. This year will be special because I'll be taking Ike my GSP pup (he's 15 months old) along. He'll see lots of birds that's for sure.

I apologize for my ignorance, but what is PHP? Whatever/wherever it is, it looks idyllic. Thanks for posting the picture.

PHP is Pine Hill Plantation in Donalsonville, GA. Doug and Jackie Coe operate vintage quail hunts. This involves a mule wagon that carries the dogs and members of the hunt party. You can also travel by horse which is what we do; along with the hunt masters.

Corey,

Thanks for clarifying. I have heard of and read about Pine Hill. I hope you have great weather and good action on your hunt. Savor it!

Default Pine Hill Plantation vintage quail hunts

See attached other pics from PHP. Nothing like chasing pointers through long leaf pine forest on horseback on the hunt for Bob.
