Mother Nature In Action . . .
Just before sunset tonite my wife Kathy and I were witness to something pretty special . . . a Momma Wild Turkey putting her brood of nine to bed. First she flew up from the ground into a Red Pine just off our deck and called her little ones up to join her, they soon did. Then she flitted into an adjacent White Pine, again calling for the youngsters, one-by-one they followed. Then back over to the Red Pine, the brood followed and then finally back over to the White Pine where she gathered them all up spreading and cupping her wings over all nine to protect them for the night.
