Default Looking for 3 1/4" 1 1/2oz Lead Load

I am actually going to be reloading E-Shot, which Buck Run claims is the same weight as lead, a bit harder than lead, but soft enough for old barrels.

Thanks for any help as the big Watson Brother 10 bore is looking forward to getting back into waterfowl action!

theodore is this 3 1/4 inch the actual shell lenth...most ten ga are either 2 7/8 or 3 1/2..but if it is 3 1/4 inch a load from a 2 7/8 inch shell with a load of 1 1/2 ounce would work in your lenth of shell you would just have to figure out how many more wads you would need to fill the space...or if your loading brass shells just use the same load the 2 7/8 load with the 1 1/2 ounce load andhot glue the wad in place...scroll back on the reloading site...pete as a bunch of reloading info for the short ten..please retell us what length the shell is you want to reload.... charlie

Charlie, the original english 10 gauge magnum was 3 1/4", while the the standard 10ga was 2 7/8". I thought it would be fun to make some 3 1/4" shells as they are fairly rare. The gun has been dated to 1885-1887, based on the proof marks and company history. The fact that it is a"magnum" suprises me and must be a very early one. A friend who collects english guns has quite a few 3 1/4" magnums dating from the 1890's all the wat into the 1930's.
