Default 28ga Two Barrel Set

A friend of a friend has a Repro 28ga 2 barrel set he wants to sell. I’ve attached a couple of pictures. I’m interested in buying the gun. I haven’t seen them in person but will in a couple of weeks.

From what you see in the pictures what would the approximate value be?

I’m seeing listed prices in the range of $9k on auction sites.

Best,
Brett

Guns being offered for sale should be in the Members only section with a price being asked

Sorry I wasn’t clear. I’m interested in buying the gun and want to get some advice on what a fair price might be from the experts here.

I just changed the original post to make that clear.

Best,
Brett

Handsome piece of wood!
What are the barrel lengths and their respective chokes?

Dean,

26” IC/M
28” M/F

kind of looks like burl. I like the configuration also; SG/DT/Splinter..

I may be all wet but IMO that $9k is a hopeful figure. If I were wanting to buy it I would offer $7,500 - $8,000. But that’s just me…

It’s kind of hard to put a value on the second set of barrels. I guess it’s what the market will bear.

If I were in the market for a two-barrel sed 28 gauge Repro I would want to find one in Q1 & Q2 and Mod & Full.

Good point. I would be tempted to open the chokes on the longer barrel set, honestly.

I wouldn't open the chokes on that gun, it would diminish the value by $1,000
