Default DH get the job done of MN Roosters

I had my 1894 DH 12 gauge out this afternoon to harvest a couple of Minnesota mid season roosters. It was 54 degrees out which is unseasonably warm for the day after Thanksgiving in Minnesota.

My DH came from the factory with 28" barrels but I was using it's second set of 26" Damascus barrels which were fit and numbered to the gun by Turnbull in later years. At 6lbs 12oz, the #1 frame 12 gauge is a joy to carry on the prairies of southwest MN.

Good shooting Matt, I have handled Matts little 12 and it is a dandy. What a pleasant afternoon for a pheasant hunt

I'm shooting a handload recipe using Longshot powder to keep the pressures down and 1 1/8 oz NP#5's at 1200 fps.
