Default Thread size??

Could someone please tell me the thread size for the screws that go through the forearm iron and thread into the tumbler?

Anyone know the screw size for the Hook Latch Screw, item 25, 6-40 or 6-48?

Easily determined for yourself with a caliper or mike to measure diameter and using thread pitch gauge. You can get a metric and SAE thread pitch gauge for $9.95 on Amazon.

Yep. I know it’s a #6. Previous screw was stripped and drilled out. Threads are pretty buggered up. I’m going to try to chase them before giving up and going to a #8. Have one shot to run a tap through them. Could also weld the hole, drill and retap. Really don’t want too… pitch is either 40 or 48.

Female threads in the barrel that is. Screw is pretty much gone. Gunsmith did me a big favor.
