Default Double Gun Journal

Has anyone received their latest Double Gun Journal here in North Carolina? I called these folks and was told due to 2nd class postage that the post office may hold on to these pieces 3 days before sending out. My understanding was the magazine shipped 1 April. Can anyone shed light on this problem.

That same discussion is going on over on the "other forum".

Received mine last week. Art Wheaton has a wonderful piece published in this edition.

Neil,
I got mine today. Evidently the NC postmaster doesn't put much priority on getting the magazines out. Parker Pages is always about 2 to 3 weeks later than the first early reviews.

I see I am not alone. Maybe one day I will receive mine. I really enjoy DGJ but bothers me that there is such delay in receiving issues to N.C.

I really don't believe it has anything to do with DGJ's mailing procedures and you'll notice similar complaints to slow receipt of other periodicals such as Shooting Sportsman, Parker Pages, Gray's Sporting Journal and the like. It has everything to do with the USPS and 'media mail' and 'bulk rate' mailings and the various priorities set by postmasters at all the USPS redistribution centers all over the country. We are quite literally at their mercy. But it is always a great day when we are pleasantly surprised to find the new issue in our mailboxes, late or not.

Everyone. My DGJ finally arrived. It only took the USPS 21 days! Now to some great reading.
