Thanks Mills, I'll take the straight stock lifter next weekend to finish out the first season. I've been loading a surplus of low psi 3/4 ounce 12s. They recoil like a 410.

Harry and I have grand plans to shoot teal in the morning and then doves in the afternoon. We will see how it goes.

Sounds like a good day Mills! If you use hammers, post pics for us.

If we get good pictures, we will post either way. This will be the first time either of us have done the early teal season, so we will see how it goes. We did scout the area out a while back

That’s a great looking gun Chris. And a lifter to boot. What are the dimensions?

Thanks Mike, it's become a favorite!
#166XX, 30" twist, IC/IC, 2 5/8" chambers, 14 1/4" LOP, 1 3/4" DAC, 2 5/8" DAH. Dates around 1879. I have another straight stock lifter. I'm shooting dove Saturday with both. I'll post pics of it then. I forgot to mention, it's a 12ga on a #1 frame. Chris |
