Great, Gary. That may clarify things. You are a "leather trunk" kind of guy. My orders normally say "return shirts". The shirts are the soft sleeves that the cheaper grades were shipped in. There was some discussion of how guns were packed a while back, maybe here, maybe Parker Pages.

Bill, the last gun ser # 85315 is not in the book but, 85314 was a AA grade hammerless with 30 in Whitworth barrels and a Monte Carlo stock, so maybe these cases were with higher grade guns? Gary
