The Setter Club of New England is an historic bird dog club first incorporated in 1924. The Club has been somewhat dormant the last few years; only hosting its annual Spring field trial event. There's a move afoot to revitalize this club to be more active and by the initial turnout of a number of owners/handlers/hunters at a recent unofficial training day the attendees all agreed they would like to see this club's resurrection.
If you live in New England and have a setter, pointer or other pointing breed dog and have interest or are an enthusiast in field trials and/or upland dog training please come to the annual meeting this Sunday, February 17th.
The meeting will start at 9:00am at the old Field Trial Area pavilion of the Frances Crane WMA, Rt. 151, East Falmouth, MA. The WMA entrance is just past Hamilton Tree & Landscaping building. This informational meeting should last about an hour.
