Default Late Season Grouse

Got out for an hour today and was able to take a grouse off a nice point. The Parker 16 got the job done! Really nice day for late December. Thought you might enjoy a pic of the dogs. Parker DHE 16 and Ella my Braque. The grouse is hanging over the branch but hard to see in the pic.

Nice! If that were in Fairbanks you'd lose the bird in the -45deg ice fog.

I spent the first day of the New Year chaseing Grouse also. My emphasis is on the chaseing however as we put out only one bird that didn't offer a shot.

Ella is a fine looking Shorthair, my favorite breed for over 20 years.

Now I didn't know that, always thought the 31 was the end of the season.
