Default Research letter question

Aquired a GHE 20 ga. ser. # 231203 this past year. Wanted to get a letter but doing the preliminary check the site said there is no information for my gun on which to base a letter. Is this the final word or are there other avenues to explore?
Thanks

If the Parker came through Abercrombie and Fitch ther may be a record of it. Some here know the avenue to such information.

Good Luck, Harry

The Griffin and Howe website, research category, has some three thousand Parker numbers that went through VL&D and A&F. Your number is not among them. That is about the end of the line for research except the PGCA collection of work tags. Your number does not appear there either. I think our researcher searches the work tag list when a letter is requested. Research material in this serial number range is not particularly interesting because no mention of the original purchaser is included in the stock books.

Gary: If you were to post some pictures, we would enjoy it along with you. Is there any means to follow a path of provenance, starting with the person from whom you acquired this gun? 1929 isn't that far back - if you say it fast.
Cheers,
Jack

I have the original buyers name from the family where I bought the gun. He owned a farm and hunted with it near Oregon Il. The family said the stock carving was done by a friend from that area. Will post some pictures if I can figure it out.
Thanks
Gary
Looks like I have to put them some place to load them--not tonight

You can email them to a participant here who knows how to post them. Unfortunately, I am not that person.
