Thanks for the guidance from the board. I contacted Tom and just received my replacement hammer screws. Very nice work, and they fit just fine.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words...
Here are the original screw pictures I posted at the start of this thread: I patina-ed one of my new Tom Carter replacement screws, using his recommended vinegar method, and then installed it in place if the original with the broken head. Here's how it turned out, along with a comparison to the original: Original screw: New patina-ed Tom Carter replacement screw: I believe the pictures say it all! |

I'm in the need of a screw for the bottom of the receiver, one of the two side by side. I can't locate a PM icon or email icon for Mr. Carter. Can someone help me out?
