Is it a hammer gun or hammerless?
Does it say Damascus Steel on the top rib? The P or Grade 1 in either configuration would normally have had either Twist or Laminated Steel. .

Your post is a little confusing. A 'P' grade is a Grade one, but the inverse isn't necessarily so. I have never seen a grade 1 hammer gun with a P on the watertable, nor have I seen a P grade with anything but 'Twist' or 'Parker Steel' barrels.

When I get home from deer camp I will post pics of both hammerless and hammer Grade 1 guns with Laminated Steel barrels.

It won't be the last time I was wrong, and I'm pretty sure it wasn't the first either.
edit: TPS has an asterisk under 'laminated' to indicate there were, in fact, 20. |

Edgar, are you looking in the Grades section for both hammerless and hammer guns?
