Default Parkers & Wobble Trap

Tuesday night is boys night out at the local gun club for me. Went over and shot a round of wobble trap and really was not paying to much attention to the battery of guns being used until we walked off the line and it was noted that 4 of the 5 guns were Parkers. My 34" VHE, 32" VHE, A PH, and an upgraded V grade with a lot of engraving and brass woodpeckers on it. All were
12 bores. Good to see some interest in them locally.

We shoot Wobble Trap Sunday afternoon's at a friends farm. Mostly Beretta's, Brownings, a Krieghoff, Perazzi's, a Fabbri and the occasional Parker or Model 21. I take my fair share of the bets with a VH with added 30" Damascus barrels. It's a hoot.

I bet you do Harry. As I have seen you shoot I have no doubt that you can hold your own. Are you going to be able to make the IN shoot ? Nice wood on that Parker BTW.

Randy,

I would love to come shoot. Unfortunately I've got to stick to my knitting here. Elk Creek is facing the same dilemma coming up with enough people to put on their SXS shoot. I'm afraid I won't be able to do that shoot either.
I had Show Me Gunstocks in Missouri replace the wood after Sherman Bell broke it and the Vulcan barrels. I told Donnie Gemes that I didn't need anything fancy. He said he would pick up a scrap off the floor and that's what I got.

I spoke to Elk Creek Tuesday and they have 18 shooters registered so far but I know 5 of us are going to register this week once we firm up our plans. Spread the word on the IN shoot to your friends. I think I have about 19 shooters so far but I would like more. Sorry you can't make it Harry.

When's the Elk Creek Shoot? I sure enjoyed our last Parker get-together there, and I'm looking forward to the IN Shoot, Randy!

I'm bringing a buddy from southern KY with me to shoot at the IN event. He's new to the Parker "thing", but he's all in!

Harry, I would have those guys at Show Me Gunstocks make good on their claim that they can make a gunstock. Tell us more about their work. Thanks.

And, Harry, isn't that VH with the Damascus barrels the gun you shot when we were at Elk Creek? It's a dandy looking Parker!

Dave:

The Elk Creek shoot is going to be July 21st and the 22nd. I am not sure yet what day we are going to shoot but I should have that finalized this week. I have you and your friend on the list for the Indiana shoot. Looking forward to it.

Dave,
I can't remember what gun I have shot from week to week. But this could well have been.

Bill,
Show Me has done three stocks for me. If I had a complaint it is the comb is just a bit wider than the originals. All are 1 1/2 DAC and 2 1/2 DAH with about 2" of pitch and checkered butt. 1884 16 gauge mono blocked to 20 gauge, 1927 VH 16 gauge and 1900 VH that Sherman Bell blew up.
