I have that guide Pete and I was surprised to find a 3/4oz load in there using Unique as I am saving my 20/28 for the 28ga.

Seventy to eighty years ago our ammunition companies were using Red Dot all the way down to 28-gauge --

I use loads from old manuals when there is no other choice & Red Dot often listed. Beside the usual cautions oftentimes they don’t fill hulls as good as I would like, hulls and wads usually the issue. . Unique good example.
Having said that my supply of Red Dot is running low and may have to go to Green Dot Unique or even use my supply of 20/28 for 12 G. To that end have some very good Green Dot 20G loads from older manuals. Preserves the 20/28. Green Dot has the tube set problem too. Never gives any trouble In 20G Trojan or Beretta 391 Able to buy 8 pounder of Red Dot will stick with it for 12. William |

I like the green ribbed Remington Shur Shots for my 28ga Repro and my VH20 when hunting ptarmigan on snowshoes on a sunny spring day..... There's something about shooting paper shells that just makes sense.... they just smell right. Who of us doesn't have a sniff of the ejected freshly fired shells before putting them in a pocket??? You know who you are!
