Default Helice (ZZ Birds)

Had our monthly ZZ Bird Shoot last Saturday with 29 shooters at Rio Salado. Wide variety of shotguns with only limited number of older firearms with several Model 12s and only two side X sides; Browning BSS 20 gauge and my 2 frame 12 gauge Parker. Used RST 1200 feet per second, 1oz 7 1/2 and they crushed the birds, several kills were with the left barrel a "fair" distance out there.

Next shoot is November 11th. Club is thinking about a ZZ Tournament in December best score out of 20 birds. Come and join us!

Can you post your program so we can know how much a ZZ shoot will cost?

The Southern (Fall and Spring) and the other vintage gun events need a Helice venue.

In the early days of the Southern they had a ZZ bird set up.

Very strong turn-out yesterday for our ZZ shoot. Unfortunately I was the only side X side shooter (1895 Parker GH 2 Frame) for 3 rounds and proved 2 1/2 RST at 1200 will really break targets. Ran the table both rounds with my "Broadway Superposed" with 32 inch barrels.
Fun yesterday as we had multiple sub-gauge shooters with 28 and 410s. Several had excellent scores.
Hope some of you will join us on December 26th.

We held our ZZ Tournament December 16th at Rio Salado, 23 shooters all shooting 20 birds. I'd love to say I won but that wasn't the case. I shot rounds 1 & 2 flawlessly but round three hammered two bird but neither broke, so finished in the middle of the pack.
Loads of fun had hopefully several of you will join us in the future.

Wish there was a place around N.Y. to shoot ZZ birds, shot a few in a sporting tournament years ago.
