Default B &P ammo in Parker Repos

I would like to hear how this ammo preforms in 28 ga. guns. Any help would be helpful. Thanks Loren

I found 7.5 Extra Rosa's were very lethal for grouse. In fact I just posted about finding a supplier. I'll buy a flat when I do.

I've used a lot of #8 Extra Rosa shells on quail, both in the Parker and in other 28 bores, and like them. Shifted to Polywad spreaders in the PR, as I prefer swinging the very tightly-choked 28" barrel set.

B&P's are fine in a Repro. B&P Extra Rosa shells are the only 28ga. shells I've ever fired that actually have a little "kick" in them. Don't know what the velocity is, but it's up there. Only felt the "kick" when shooting clays. Never noticed it in the field.

https://www.aerostaroutdoors.com/

This place has all the B&P shells you might want. A little to pricey for me though.

I e-mailed B&P about the Extra Rosa loads and they responded that they no longer produce those shells. They have been replaced by the Dove and Quail loads. I guess I’ll have to order a flat of those.

For what it's worth...
I shot some basic Fiochi 28 ga target loads and a comparable Rio load through my 28 gauge Reproduction and they didn't want to eject. I thought my ejectors needed cleaning or something else was happening.
I then loaded about 1/2 dozen Win AAHs 28 gauge and the gun/ejectors sent them into the stratosphere. That's my experience.
