Default NH RAINY DAY PHEASANTS

Cody and I hunted in the rain today for NH Pheasants. Managed one hen off a nice point. Here we are taking a break. The gun is my 1912 Ithaca Flues 16 Gauge which I inherited from my Dad. It has 26" barrels, double triggers and is factory choked Cyl/Full. It weighs 5.12 Lbs. A beautiful upland gun.

I like that gun...and that choke combination. I good hunt with your own pup and a special gun. Sounds like a day to remember to me.

I like that choke combo. I have a Scottish 20 hammer gun and a German 16 hammer, both choked cyl/Full. I have a VH 20, a DHE 16, and a Fox pin gun all choked cyl/mod---like that even better. Keep those pics coming, if all goes right I'll be hitting the grouse woods next Friday.

Steve, are you shooting native pheasants up there or are the released birds. I don't believe mass has any native pheasants anywhere. Haven't seen one in yrs.
