Default Got The Band Back Together!

Willie is back in the field after her collapsed lung that happened on the first day of our annual UP grouse trip. She is knocking them dead, making up for lost time. Doodle is back also after her emergency hysterectomy/spay due to a bad uterine infection, or pyometra. Old Fancy has been solid and dependable during these trying times. With hopes of making a December's run to the UP, we have been hitting the pheasant fields and quail covers. Carried a Ugartechea 28 for the first 2 quail hunts, limiting out both times including a bonus pheasant. Carried the Parker VHE 20 today, taking my limit over Fancy and Doodle. Put Willie out in another location, not carrying the gun, and she found me 2 more covies for future hunts.

Looks like the band is making beautiful music! Congratulations Harold, I know you must be relieved.

Thats great Harold. Some of that looks like good woodcock cover. Ever run into any?

So glad your pups are back hunting with you. Nothing like the relationship between bird dogs and their man (or, Boy, as my wife likes to say).

Great job Harold, glad to hear it! I got my first setter three years ago and am looking forward to my next one. They are special creatures!
